Many Hearts Many Hands

Many Hearts, Many Hands is a grassroots volunteer group started by the Flores Family: Julie, Minnie and Vern. We wanted to provide a simple way to spread love and joy to seniors, shut-ins, veterans, and youth.

In January 2024, we asked a handful of friends to join us in making Valentine's Day Cards at the Lake House Lobby. The results were amazing—we were able to deliver 780 cards to Meals on Wheels and five, local assisted living facilities. And, we did the same for Easter!

The response to our cardmaking events was more than we could have imagined and we outgrew the lobby!  On June 19, 2024, we became an official SCCL Club. Since that time, we grew to a club membership of over 100 members. And, even more impressive is that we were able to make cards for over 17,000 recipients!

What we hear the most about our club is that it is fun and that people feel good about helping others in such a simple way.
