LLL: Charlotte Concert Band at ILHS

YOUR INVITATION  The Charlotte Concert Band will open its season with a Veterans Day Tribute at the spectacular new  Indian Land High School located at 6100 Charlotte Hwy. at 4 p.m. Nov. 5 and the public is invited to participate and celebrate!

The concert will feature a guest piano soloist performing "Rhapsody in Blue" by American composer George Gershwin and patriotic music composed by John Williams, Samuel Augustus Ward and Aaron Copland. The Indian Land High School Choir will also join in performing with musicians in the band as well as the Lancaster County EMS Honor Guard. DONATIONS There is no charge for the concert although donations will be accepted and 50% of the donations will go to support ILHS Choir. Donations can be contributed securely online at CCB's web site donation link.

DIRECTIONS and PARKING From Sun City Carolina Lakes to the new high school, you will turn south on US 521 (Charlotte Hwy). Turn LEFT at the SECOND ENTRANCE to the high school. (There are two entrances to the school facilities and both have left turn lanes. The first entrance takes you to the athletic fields. Take the second entrance and turn left into the high school facilities.) The parking lot you should use is on the right towards the high school. The entrance to the high school is a short walk from the parking lot that should be visible from any place in that parking area. Once you enter the facilities, the auditorium is ahead on your right. (ILHS address is 6100 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC)
 
OPEN HOUSE & TOUR For Sun City Carolina Lakes residents, there will be an OPEN HOUSE & TOUR to visit the new high school one hour prior to the concert. The open house will begin at 3 p.m.. Members of the ILHS student council will serve as guides and will take you on a tour of the high school facilities. For those who come early and are going to the open house, walk down the hallway and you will come to a big open area where the guided tours will begin. Once you have finished your tour,  proceed back the way you came in and find a seat in the auditorium.

FYI from the Charlotte Concert Band  "As we pay Tribute to our Veterans, we thank ILHS for the great support we have had in bringing this concert to fruition. The Charlotte Concert Band will donate 50% of all revenue from the concert to the Indian Land High School Choir. We are honored to have them share the stage as we all salute those who have served.
