Understanding Stormwater Pollution: Urbanization and its effect on Indian Land
Presented by Lancaster County Engineering and Environmental Services
Stormwater is precious and powerful. Learn how the removal of trees, vegetation and topsoil generates large quantities of surface run-off. This run-off can carry a variety of pollutants directly to our waterways. A team from Lancaster Engineering and Environmental Services will explain environmental outreach, public involvement and things we can do to prevent pollution in our waterways.
County Engineer Scott Edgar will be the main speaker and will cover Fluvial Geomorphology (Streams) and the history of the Indian Land department.
Environmental Outreach officer Elizabeth Evans will talk about environmental outreach, public involvement and things we can do to prevent pollution. The program will show interesting photos of construction site violations with some pretty serious consequences.
