I am forwarding a link that came from my neighbor. They had issues with their fire alarms and contacted the fire department. The fire department came at no charge and changed all their units. (The resident supplied the new units). The fire department will also replace end-user-supplied batteries at no charge. Check out the link below.
Homeowners must wear a mask and maintain a safe distance while personnel are inside the residence.
Indian Land Fire Rescue will install new smoke alarms and/or replace the batteries in your existing smoke alarms, as long as you have the new alarms/batteries.
